Paraphrase the following passage by Henry David Thoreau.

I went to the woods to live deliberately, to front the essential facts of life, and to see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Make a works cited for the following texts. Type the entries on a separate sheet of paper, and format it by following the example in the blue section of LB Brief. Use LB Brief as your guide for the format. Note the index entry number that you used as your template.

1. A book titled Walden; or Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau published by Dover in New York in 1995.

2. An article by Thurl Ravencroft entitled “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” that appeared on pages 50-58 of the December 17, 1991, issue of Newsweek.

3. A poem by Sylvia Plath entitled “Child” on page 1280 of The Norton Anthology of Literature, edited by M.H. Abrams and published by Norton in New York in 1989.

5. An unsigned article entitled “Raising Speed Limits,” appearing in the November 5, 2001 issue of the Ranger on page 4A.

6. A World Wide Web site entitled “Black Sheets of Rain” which you retrieved through Yahoo! At the address http://www.yahoo.com/Black_Sheets_of_Rain.

7. A letter to the editor of the Kenosha News by Ned Flanders on page 3B.

8. An e-mail from Mary C. Gallagher to you on January 15, 2003, under the subheading Supermodel.

9. The movie Barton Fink, starring John Turturro, John Goodman, and Judy Davis. Directed by Joel Cohen. Production design by Dennis Gassner. Distrubuted by Twentieth Century Fox in the year 1991.

10. Cite any essay that we have chosen for the analysis paper.
